Hi all of you guys,

Well I just want to get some advice .. I am currently stayin in my homecountry but planning on coming to thailand next month. I'm trying to get a job and stuff .. that's not the problem. I want to know what i can do with my visa. Before i leave i'll have to ask for a tourist visa i guess? right? and when i arrive? do i ask the company to get a work permit for me?

Thanks in advance,

If the job is not the problem and you already have it lined up perhaps you could obtain the required documents from them and obtain a non immigrant B visa before you leave. If not, and you are not able to obtain a non immigrant visa on your good looks the tourist visa can act as your first step. Once here company will have to give you paperwork to obtain a non immigrant B visa (which can be a change of tourist visa at immigration or a trip to a consulate to obtain). Once you have that you/employer will have to obtain a work permit and if you meed income requirements (you really want to) you go back to immigration to extend your stay for one year at a time.
