Two new eateries open their doors on Walking Street.

We now have two new restaurants to tell you about on Walking Street.

First is a new branch of Subway Sandwiches which has opened at the entrance to Walking Street. Andy, the Franchisee also runs the branch at Carrefour in Central Pattaya and is looking forward to continuing on the tradition of freshly made super size sandwiches on Walking Street.

We then attended the grand opening of Pit Stop Pizza which is directly opposite the Polo Entertainment Complex in the center of Walking Street. This 24 hour eatery is owned by Avi, the man behind the Timeout Gelato Bars located on Walking Street, Big C North Pattaya, Carrefour and Tuk.Com in South Pattaya. On offer at his new venture is delicious Pizza’s, Pasta, Burgers, Pancakes, Nachos and of course Timeout Gelato. On the 1st floor is a VIP Karaoke lounge with amazing views of Walking Street which is available for private hire.

Pattaya City News wished Andy and Avi all the best in their new ventures.

Yeah - a 'gelato' in Tuk.com for my eight-year-old cost me 75 baht and I had to finish it because she didn't reckon it was as good as the 10 baht things she gets from the street vendor.

Will the pizza parlour be aimed only at tourists? Most passing trade in Walking Street (tourist type) is Japanese / Chinese, not pizza types.

I think the pizza parlour needs to look at opening times, I was asked at 1030am whilst going for a coffee with the wife "come in for pizza sir" by one of the 5 girls on the street trying to get punters.

in the morning? :o whilst they had loud dance music playing :D

Do you stay in Thailand?

If most trade in Walking street was Japanese/ Chinese.

I think all bars and eateries would be closed if this was the customers you relied on for your trade, as they don’t spend much money in comparison to the westerners.

Go take a good look.

Have a nice day :o

I'd have to still be under the influence to appreciate pizza in the morning! :o

Subway does actually offer a healthy alternative to the average greasy, deep-fried fast food fare actually. That's for the naysayers who have never bothered to even look.

That being said, I prefer eating Thai most evenings.

Seems they were pretty busy with the building! It was still very much a construction area just a couple weeks ago.

The second most available commodity in Pattaya has always been an abundance of eating establishments.

2 of the girls that live in my building got jobs at the pizza joint (PitStop Pizza). I've been bugging them that they are really working at the "PitStop A-Go-Go". I've been helping them with the english on the menus (as though they are going to have to explain about the "delicate tastes from the European region" to drunk farangs.

Uniforms aren't sexy enough for a go-go bar though, unless you're a die-hard grease monkey. That will probably change if business drops off (so will the clothes) :o
