Reentry permits at Jomtien, do you get your passport back same day? Or do they make you come back the next day as for extensions?

Always the same day. After all, it is an offence to be without your passport.

Sometimes if you apply before lunch, they will tell you to come back after lunch for collection. If they accept your application forms, and other required docs for processing the re-entry visa, it will be finished that day.

What with being closed on Wednesday, Jomtien was so overwhelmed with customers on Mon and Tues. After arriving at 08:30 a mate of mine was turned away on Tuesday and told to go to Siracha on Thursday to get a re-entry permit which he did.
