Anti Vibration Mounts

Featured Replies

Hello all. Am looking for suggestions as to where I might buy anti vibration mounts in Chiangmai.

High frequency for a light load (4 kg or so).

It has me scratching my head!

Maybe a little more information about what they are used for, etc., would help generate responses.

Here are two places:

Going out of town on the Superhighway, keep left after Wat Jed Yod and take the exit road as if you were going to turn left to Mae Rim. About 75m before the traffic lights you'll see an irrigation shop on the left with big coils of water pipe outside. The shop next to it sells mounting blocks for motors in several different sizes and rubber and foam sheet too. Not much English but they were very helpful even on a 50 baht sale.

Otherwise, cross Narawat Bridge going out of town and go straight. Check the shops on the left until you find what you want; there's at least one there that sells blocks and sheets of hard rubber. One has large and expensive rolls of rubber on display and a scraps box (you have to ask to see it) where you can buy friendlier sized bits for 20 baht.

Failing that, anywhere that sells water pumps may have them but hidden away.

Corner of the moat by sompet spicy turn left like going to lotus. there after the the moat corner is a tool shop 50 meter after turn on left next to 7-11... i bought some there a year ago...rubber isolators with thread rod on each side like a motor mount... might give it a look. owners english is good as well...
