Featured Replies

Hi all .

has anyone looked at Vans made by SKG Sokon. ?

there price seems quite good at 400k new..

there website and printed litreture says the engines are 1.1 or 1.3 .. however they are saying that all new vans are either 1.3 or 1.5

fuel consumtion of 17km/liter if i understanf there text correctly

reminds me of a ford transit ..

anyone seen these vans ?

I haven't seen the Sokon brand in person, but I have seen the Dongfeng "DFM" . A cheap copy of a Suzuki carry ,

Dongfeng is the builder for SKG-Sokon ,

If these trucks/ vans are the same quality as other Chinese copy vehicles , will probably go down the road ok , but suffer numerous small issues .

We have a company truck here ( I am currently in China ) built by great-wall. It's an older hilux model the Chinese bought rights to build , runs OK , but over all quality is low .

But hey you get what you pay for !

the SKG is the thai brandname for the dongfeng (DFM) so the same i think

we are collecting it 2morrow .. so we'll see how it goes

SKG 1.1 or at a slightly higher cost 1.3L engine.

Smaller than a transit but good for the city. 1.1 can do 100 - 110 km/h so if you do much cross country go for the 1.3

Seems like every month getting more dealers so I would not really worry about the parts and service so much.

Crampt if your tall like me 6'2" and 189 cm I also don't like the fuel tank in the cab.

Can get LPG or lower cost CNG/NGV both get about 17 as you say
