I think I've managed to establish that it is possible to extend a non-imm 'o' Thai Wife visa by 9 months without having a current job/work permit, on the understanding that when you come to extend it again you must have a job and work permit. Has anyone managed to do this? How easy is it? Do you still have to satisfy them that you've got sufficient funds (400,000 baht) in the bank to get this extra 9 months, or is this not a requirement until the next extension?

I believe the primary requirement is a good chance of obtaining employment so I would expect education type questions. You would not need 400k but anything you had I am sure would be in the plus column.
