Nam Tok

Featured Replies

Hello Community,

I love to eat this soup called "Nam Tok" at Sukhunvit 24, right in front of the BMW branch. They serve it with blood. It actually tastes very good, but I'm still worried about my health. Is the blood consumption unhealthy? Does it lead to higher cholesterol level?

Any hint is highly appreciated. :)

Regards,

Sambosoul

I would be more worried about the amounts of cholesterol in things like prawns/seafood than the blood in Nam tok

As Jing has said raw meat and blood especially pork is definitely a health risk...but noting to do with cholesterol...

I thought the dish Nam tok (moo or gai) wasnt a soup, more of meat and mint leaves etc etc
