Air Suspension For Fortuner

Featured Replies

My Fortuner TRD Smart has a decent ride when not loaded up with a full rack of passengers and luggage. However it's not so great when loaded.

In Canada I had air suspension and loved it, being able to adjust the ride depending on load.

Has anyone seen kits sold in Thailand?

C Cube which is not far from Bangkok Phuket hospital sells and fits air suspension, many of the VIP modified cars have air suspension fitted, not sure about pick-ups but you could always ask. no idea of cost!

Good for cruising only, even the guy there says that we would not go over 120kph on them.

I had them installed on my Chevy pickup back home, no problem at any speed. Fortuner suspension is different so he may be correct.

Fortuner has 4 coils, so does Range Rover. RR has been using airbags since 1994. Spoonman knows a supplier, so I guess we just have to wait for him

I was speaking about Kenny's friend at C Cube, Phuket.

Even the owner said his Chinese ones are good, easy to lower and raise the car but would not trust it at high speed.

More of a show thing than a proper functioning suspension.

Kenny loves a cheap Chinese part regardless if it has the potential to kill him.rolleyes.gif

As for Silvers suspension from Tawain after advice from some very helpfull people on this forum I decided against it, Tein was a thought but too expensive.

Just saw this thread on a search and thought I'd drop a little information.

We're just organising a deal to start bringing in BOSS Air Suspension into Thailand. Its an Australia product, available in Europe, the US and Canada. We'll definitely have some products to support the likes of the Fortuner, from load assist kits to full air suspension kits. Its still very early days, but we'll have something to sort out the entire line of pickup trucks soon.

it might pay to become a forum sponsor when you get sorted.

Are you not venturing into a Tax Issue,The powers that be don't like the majority to have good ride, they up the tax if u upgrade suspension don't they. When you changed ownership the inspector always checked to see.,. Or did in my Truck Days

I think that only applies if you were to change the actual suspension design. Ie, from IRS to 4-link etc.
