Help. I very nievely bought 7.5 rai of land when I first came to my girlfriends village five years ago in Pak Chong. My now wife, told me this was a good deal 80 000 baht a rai as it was a functiong mango farm and also a good investment for the future. We were handed documents and I thought this was all very official. I am now told this was origionally army land and although I own the right to farm the land as my own, I do not actually own the land.. Is this true ?

I want to sell the land, however what I now know makes me realise this will be a very hard thing to do....

Land in issan is brought and sold all the time without proper papers,permission.

There's no reason why you cannot sell if someone is willing to buy,its just the price may vary if it goes back to thai hands.

Have you read ANY previous postings about this subject? A foreigner CANNOT own land in Thailand for farming or any other use. You may have paid for it but you did not buy it.
