They used to have Amstel till about 4 or 5 years ago and Grolsch till appr. 3 years ago in Thailand. It seems that both beers aren't being sold anymore in LOS? Tried to e-mail both breweries but was told to get in touch with local import liquor stores.

Who knows where these beers are being sold in Thailand? Buy you a beer if you have the right answer and will buy you much more beer if you can get me Hertog Jan beer.

Don't really enjoy Thai beer with all the sugars and preservatives in there.

(Not a Heineken fan but will drink it if there aren't any other proper alternatives)

Did you see the imported beer collection at Buonissimo's store ? many Belgium beers like Duvel and more. Bring money because they aren't cheap.

Or go on a holiday to Vientiane, in Laos they don't protect the own market like in Thailand you can get anything there. To bring some over the border more then the official limit rent a minivan with a border pass, officials won't check what's inside. Easy does it !

BTW you did not name a location but Buonissimo is in Chiang Mai (a city in northern Thailand)

How about 'our' Makro ?

I have had Amstel in South Africa where it was/is marketed as a premium beer, the Amstel in Thailand was gruesome in comparison and was also a cheapie. Missed the Grolsch though, must have been away.
