Doha,Qatar Duty Free Good For Smart Phone?

Featured Replies

I don't know about anybody else but Ive found that you can usually find that kind of item cheaper in the UK than at duty free in the middle east, and probably more so with the pound being so weak at the moment

hmmmm, interesting hint however won't stop in the UK.

Never explored the duty situation UK with EC members.

If shippment to Germany makes sense.

Never found any "bargains" especially at Doha duty free and most duty frees in general.

I used to do a bit in Dubai before the new terminal. Electronics especially hard to get a good buy.

Maybe you mean the HTC Desire S? Note the article in Nation just appeared today about DTAC offering deals on that item:

HTC-dtac join hand to launch two new smartphones HTC Desire S and HTC Wildfire S

That is a superb phone, possibly the best Android phone going; 15k baht is good price and that 6-month internet deal is very attractive.

I would jump on this one myself except no 3G in Phuket except for a few "test" towers by True on the west coast.
