Golden Retriever Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I am a Chinese girl, 34 years old. My bf will be working in Thailand at the very beginning of 2006 and I would like to go Thailand with him. Which kind of Visa can be applied? I have no intention to work and/or study in Thailand. Thanks a lot.
lopburi3 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Believe the only visa you might obtain would be as a tourist.

So I have to process ' VISARUN' after 60 days, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you come in on a 60 day tourist visa, that's right, but you'll have to get that in your home country, then every 59 days you'll have to go out of the country to get another 60 day visa, or request an extension.......See other posts on this subject, there's plenty... If you come in on a "visa on arrival", (if your country qualifies for it), then you have to make a "visa run" every thirty days. Again, a little searching on this forum, and all that will be clear. Anyway.....my best wishes, and good luck, Ernie.

I can have 60 day tourist visa from my home town and also I can get a 'visa on arrival' (but just 15 days). I am wondering if I am qualified to make this so called" visa run".
Beachcomber Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 You can get a 60 day tourist visa from your home country. This you can extend a further 30 days in Thailand at any immigration office. After that you have to leave Thailand and start again. If you do not get any visa before leaving your own country you will get a 30 day visa as you enter Thailand. Don’t know if you can extend this.
