baht&sold Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) This thread:Dying girlfriend thread I urge you to read it as it is a very touching story. It deserves to be read by everyone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Khun Jean, sincere thx- I hadn't read this before and now have done so... I haven't much to add except to say, sincerest condolences to Richard... I too encourage anyone who hasn't, to read it, from start to finish. Just a thought but if you're reading the link Khun Jean provided for the first time and feel it's merited, maybe post a brief comment, or if words are difficult, perhaps just copy the original post, so this goes back to the top and others might find it. Through Richard's and other's story of loss, perhaps many others will gain and therefor this is also a hopefull story. A very hopefull story. Edited October 12, 2005 by baht&sold

Khun Jean Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Unfortunately i did not choose the right title to attract attention. Maybe one of the mods can change it into something more appropiate (sp). It is such a shame it is a little hidden in the Pattaya section. If it was not for being the latest edit at the moment i browsed through the forums i never would have found it.
Wolfie Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Which thread do you need renaming? PM me or post here and one of us will get onto it. (also tell us what you want it renamed to!)
london-matt Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 My heart goes out to Richardb. Like many others at points his posts had me in tears too. It's a shame that a month has gone by now since his sad news as I would like to contact him to say what he and others did for her was truly inspiring but I feel if I did this then it may well bring back events which he his trying to put in the past. Thank you for posting this thread again. Matt
Sunshine Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Wow. That was powerful stuff. I read it from beginning to end. Very emotional...
Patsycat Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I read it very late at night here Europe. Very touching, very sad, I also shed a lot of tears. Who wouldn't? It was also very educational to learn how the Thais treat people who are HIV, which i am sure i am not the only one finds abhorent. The Center sound as if they do a really good job and if only there were many more Centers around the country to be able to help more people or at least give them the love and caring they need and, in my mind, deserve. This is the worst disease, let's hope there will be a cure soon. But at least we have the hope that there are caring people still around, who drop everything to help an ex (you are an exceptional and special man, Richard) and his friends to help a stranger. Do you know what happened to the young lady's son, as we saw in the picture? May she rest in peace.
Ken Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I read it and as said before...it's a very "powerful" read. I'm also supporting the Centre thru the Bahtbus "drunkathalon" in Pattaya. In memory of Aom. Thank you for posting this thread.
