I live within a few blocks of Foodmart but I avoid it like the plague. Their prices are high but that's not the problem. I'd rather save the trip down to Tesco. However, the help is VERY unfriendly. They nickel and dime you there every chance they get. I wanted to put up a small index sized ad to sell a set of golf clubs on their bulletin board and they tried to hit me for 200 baht to post it. Idiots!

not so high anymore it seems ? and it's interesting for fresh food, sandwiches and bakery mostly.

  • Personally I avoid that shop, grossly overpriced and unfriendly staff. What is the new mini supermarket like in Jomtien?

  • Don't waste your time trying to find a manager at Foodmart. All you'll get is 'mai mee' and 'no have'. Just one reason I now spend my money elsewhere.

  • Managers are not the reason I visit shops. Location, presence of products I want and price are my criteria.

Foodmart prices are a little high but hey it's a 24hr shop so expect to pay a bit more. Their meat and bakery items are very good and reasonably priced, not worth a trip to Tescos.  I only use it for a few items when i run out not for a main shop.
