Where Can I Buy Original Photo'S

Featured Replies

Can any members inform me of the best place I can buy original photo's of Thailand to display and sell in my gallery.

This forums sponsor, Bangkok Images, has some good pictures, also a google search for "photography thailand" should bring up some. Or go to a stock agent or a photographers self service site i.e. Getty, Corbis. Alamy, photoshelter, smugmug, zenfolio.

But be aware that stock libraries are unlikely to sell you photos that you in turn will be allowed to sell on your site. Their terms of usage are very precise, and will exclude resale.

Another option would be to look at photo depositories such as Flickr or Pbase, search on Thailand and contact any photographers whose photos you like to see if you can do a deal.

Depending on where you live, watch out for photography exhibitions and get the contact details for the photographers; there are some very talented Thai photographers around.

We have a large archive of photos from Thailand from the last 28 years of shooting here and would be glad to show some of our work and talk about an arrangement with you.

Yeah, you can't re-sell stock images. I sell through Getty and they take a very dim view of this!
