Announced Non-immi-b-visa: 3 Years Valid

did someone ever see or get that 3 year business-Visa which was announced a couple of months ago ? or was it just the usual blablabla by ThaiRakThai with no action followed ? my non-immi-B must be renewed soon and I just wonder if somebody can update informations.....

So far, it's just the usual blah-blah-blah. I renewed my visa in the U.S. a few months back. The consulate I dealt with had heard nothing about this three-year 'B' visa through official channels. They were only aware of it from people such as us calling to inquire.

I have one. Absolutely no idea how it happened. I have asked numerous times at immigrations and they seem shocked every time but accept it. I am well into year two. Sorry I cant be more help but I can confirm that at least one exists.

Interesting. What is needed to get this visa? Are we talking 3 year extension of stay (and not validity of the visa)? Where to get? Where is the mentioned announcement? What is the purpose of it?
