Wonder if anyone can help

I get this 'Attention: Your account has not been verified with Facebook.'

You can verify your Facebook account with a mobile phone text message by visiting the link below...

http://www.facebook.com/confirmphone.php

I do not have a mobile phone which I can use + all my friends around here have the same network that is not supported...

I feel sure months ago I came on a page that stated you could send a email copy of I.D/Passport to get the Activation code send by return email, but days/weeks/hours of searching Facebook cannot find this page again.

Can anyone help or know where this page is ?

Edit: this constant message has only appeared in the past month or so, as been on Facebook for a long time

You’re not alone; fb has behaved a little bit strange the couple of days here in Thailand.

I typed my mobile no in their field provided, and got an activation code within 10 sec.

Bye-bye for now – kiss kiss

Tried many times every day for weeks, nothing received back, Facebook says 'Hutch' not supported......

Only reply from Facebook is they do not reply to individual emails options are in 'Help'

OK I am old but simply cannot find that page.. I did find it awhile ago about sending a scan of I.D or Passport by email to get the activation code back by email, but cannot remember where I found it.

Had an idea get a cheap sim card for a week just to activate.......... Did find 2 old phones but after 4 years in a draw neither will work 1x will not charge the other screen is blank and frosty white colour so guess both have had it.

Not sure driving down to 7/11 and getting someone under 20 to come home with me to use there phone for a text is a good idea...

In my little village everyone is over 30, some with kids but there all under 10, the 6 teenagers are away at school in UK or Australia, one in Germany at school.. The people I talk to every day in the Village are Thai + all on Hutch.

As for blessing in disguise tell the 2 Companies that have moved 'Login' to Login with facebook

Facebook Login Required

XYZ Company has now connected our login process with Facebook. In order to log in to your existing XYZ account, you will need to log in with your verified Facebook profile.

Why do we require a Facebook login?

The Facebook login allows us to largely eliminate the damage caused by abusive users who create multiple fake accounts and repeatedly post prohibited items for sale. It will allow our users to have a cleaner, faster and more rewarding experience by helping us clear the clutter and more easily stop abusive users.

[At some point we may no longer require the Facebook login process, but for now, we expect it will help xyz Company to grow and succeed.]

Both Companies more or less say the same thing :realangry:

My wife had a similar thing with Hotmail. They wanted to send a text to unblock her. The problem is the text never came. We just opened a new account with Gmail.

Buying a cheap new SIM is probably the only solution.

I'm going to help you but perhaps not in the way you imagined. Forget you ever heard of FaceBook, or Twitter or whatever's coming next.

Welcome to your life! You're welcome.
