Hi just a quick one. I have tried 4 local pharmacies looking for Cefixime (suprax) or Cefpodoxime (Vantin) but they dont recognise the name and dont stock either Anti-biotic. It may be sold as Cafspan in Thailand but im un-sure. Does anyone know a relaible Pharmacy that does stock these drugs. I'd be grateful Thanks!

Cefixime is here under brand names Cefspan, C-Tri T, Cefamar (local)

Any really large pharmacy will have it. If you are in bangkok, I suggest the one on Sukhumvit near Soi 2 (sort of across from the expressway entrance). Or, if more convenient, ther pharmacies near Victory Monument on ratchawithi across from the hospital (there are 2-3 of them). If by any chance you are on the Thonburi side of the river, then Fascino's near Siriraj or any of the other pharmacies on that same street.

If you are in Pattaya, Fascino's.

There is no brand of Cefpodoxime licensed for sale in Thailand.
