Hello Guys and Girls from Koh Samui,

SORRY IF THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH!!?!? BUT

I am a Chef In a largeResort In Koh Samui.

I am sponsored on my B visa and my Long term defacto has the o visa and does the 90 days trips to Singapore or KL.

She is due to get another O visa in early New Year .

Although she enjoys going to singapore and KL she is just as happy to stay her and live on Samui. Also it costs a bit but its better than those busses to Myanmar etc.

So what are my options for her Visa, Is there anyway i can have her on my visa as a dependant?

Can anyone tell me my options?

We lived together for 5 years in Australia and England. We ahev rental receipts.

She and I are both Australian Citizens.

We are 26 and 27 years old.

Have no kids.

Have a fair bit of money saved.

No Debt.

Have accomodation provided here at the resort and have no outgoings.

No criminal background.

Please let me know if there is any news.

Best regards and see you in Samui sometime!

Defacto means nothing here. Get married and she can obtain yearly visa extensions as your wife. Without 90 day is the max.

If she is interested in education perhaps she could use that but not sure if any school on the Island could be used.

She could also do the trip to Malaysia border and return to save a few baht.

3 million baht investment is also an option if she has the money.

What are the things required / involved in Marrying and the costs involved?

She has no ambition to work!

Are you on samui?

Cheers

You would both have to visit your Embassy or Consulate to fill out a form (that you are not married and bio data type information), have translated into Thai and registered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. You then visit any District office and register your marriage. Only expense is the paper/translation/registration and should only be a few thousand baht. Can be done in one day with help and perhaps 3 if you do all steps yourself. But you will have to do the Embassy/Consulate visit. I am in Bangkok.
