looking for a cheap USB portable DVD writer; any recommendations ? tia

I bought a LG a few years back to use with my Asus netbook. It has been okay even tho i have used it mostly for watching DVDs. The only problem is that it is an extra piece of equipment that i have to carry so the advantage of havinr a net book is reduced.

I bought the Samsung @ 1200 baht, a few months back, works fine and does the job.

I am also looking at a Buffalo brand

I don't have my LG with me so i can't tell you the model number but i think they are all ok for what they do. I have had a Buffalo hard drive and that was good if that is a recomendation.

My LG GSA-E50N works fine. I cannot remember the price.
