Trying To Post, But Get An Advertisement

Featured Replies

Almost every time I try to write a post I get switched to some annoying advertisement that I don't even look at and often lose the post that I have been working on.

Is this done just to send us into a mad fit, because it certainly doesn't make me feel kindly towards the advertiser? :o

I can't see how the forum would be doing that. You might have some adware buried in your OS that's doing it. What are the ads for? If it's one of our sponsors it could be from here, if not I'd do a deep scan for adware.

I have scanned for adware but it comes up negative.

This only happens to me on TV, so I just can't figure it out.

Next time, I will look at the ad if that would help. :o

Interesting.

I've had a similar thing occur at random times, click to view a thread, get a commercial.

It definately ONLY happens on TV but I'm not sure if it's a TV sponsor and seems to be different each time. I'll check more closely next time (cue it never happening again).

Mildly annoying, nothing more.

Deep scan with the latest Ad-Aware and the MS spyware sniffer thingy turned up nowt of interest.

It just happened, went to scroll down the forum homepage and got the siam-legal website, the one with the 'free' report link that gives a 404 error.

Most odd.

If it only happens during scroll I would suspect you, as I, sometimes are an eighth of an inch from the bar and hit the advertising hot spot when re reclick to continue a trip down the posts. :o

Writing posts sometimes get odd things to happen if hit control key or some other combo but not sure if it is TV or something in Opera (which does not seem to be fully compatible with the TV program).
