Hello all,

I am hoping you can help me out.

I have two distinct nose to mouth lines.

I am wondering 3 things:

1. What is used to "disappear" this problem - Botox? Fillers?

2. Does anyone know what a fair price would be to get these two lines treated in Bangkok?

3. Can you recommend a quality doctor in Bangkok who can do this work at this fair price?

Thanks for your help.

Deep nose to mouth lines do not respond much to Botox, need filler.

In Thailand mostly they use hyaluronic acid fillers (Restalyene, Juvaderm etc -- same same just different brand names). these work well but don't last very long, maybe 6 months. A longer lasting filler is Radiesse buit I find only a few places doing it and i am not sure how experienced they are with it, done badly Radiesse can result in lumps/granulomas (they eventually dissolve but unsightly for months). Personally I haven't dared to do Radiesse in LOS I have done it on my annual trips to farangland (with great results) and in LOS done only the shorter acting fillers. Another option is Sculptra but likewise hard to find and limited experience in LOS. On the whole I would say LOS lags 2-3 years behind the west when it comes to filler technologies.

How much it will cost depends on how much you need as they charge by the syringe, this in turn depends on the depth of the lines. But it is not cheap..think around 15-20,000 baht per syringe so could easily run to 30-40,000 baht. Not much less than it costs in the US in fact. .

For places to do, I'd suggest Romrawin Clinics or any of the clincs attached to major hospitals.

If by chance you have occasion to go to Cambodia there is a fantastic doc in Phnom Penh trained in Germany who had a brand of medium-acting filler not available in LOS and is much more up to date, PM me for details.

I should warn that in addition to being costly, this treatment is addictive (psychologically).. you look so much younger/better you'll never want to stop getting it!
