Lesbian couple ties the knot

BATU PAHAT: A lesbian couple, who had been dating for the past two years, has taken their relationship to a new level by undergoing a traditional wedding ceremony.

Thomas, 29, and Apple, 27, both property brokers, underwent a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at their home here at about 10am yesterday.

It is learnt that Thomas had proposed to Apple about two months ago.

They had also set up a Facebook page as a testament of their love.

However, both declined to be interviewed when contacted.

Checks on their Facebook fanpage revealed many messages posted in Chinese with over 656 “likes”.

A friend known as Wong Shally congratulated the newly-married couple and said that she wished she would be lucky enough to experience love like Thomas and Apple.

Another Facebook friend, Winny Chin, said that they were an example to other couples here.

Thomas and Apple’s Facebook page also features a pre-wedding photo shoot album entitled “The happiest lesbians” and several pictures of their wedding ceremony itself.
