The OP might mean Si Chomphu, a little bit east of Road 228.

I have so many problems ,with people given Such vague information Cannot tell where the hell they are. Which makes it impossible to give a rational answer. There are so many different spellings, often ,for the same place name. I have one today ,who said I am 10 to 14 kilometres from Ban Kruat, Later he said ,I am South .of Ban Kruat. Now that puts him almost in Cambodia. Then he said I live in Tambon Prasat ,which is in the Centre of Ban Kruat. Confused ? of course I am . They often name a village, expecting us to know the name of every village in Thailand. So , please give a COMPLETE address, that is Village name ,Tambon name ,Amphur name. Then we can identify where you are,and answer your query

Ok I admit it please dont send the boys round. IM SORRRY I misspelled the village. its

Subsomboon. Now Im sure the info will fund in!

Coming from Chum Phae on Highway 12 Turn north on the 201 heading for Loei. After about 10kms take a left toward Phu Phu Man. Subsomboon is about twenty kilometers up that road. Hope this is precise enough for our Isaan experts. I only want to know if anyone has any experience with living there.

If not please do feel free to ignore......

hi - sorry I can't help you. But your new directions may help.

I spent a year in another Subsomboon - not in Isaan though, south Sa Kaeo province; there are probably several more in the country.

It was also variously spelled as Sap Sumboon, Sub Somboon, Sab Sumboon and so on, sometimes one word, sometimes two - the signs at the two main entry roads to the village even had different English spellings, yet appeared to have been made at the same time.

It seems almost standard that a place name should have three 'English' variations, or more.
