Re Registering A Car On A Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I have lived in Thailand for 6 years now. Most of them on a Non Immigrant O visa. I bought a new car 2 years ago on the Non Imm O visa however the car is up for renewal this month and I am only on a Tourist visa at the moment.

My question is: does anybody know if I can re register this car on a tourist visa or can it only be done on a Non Immigrant visa? If only on a Non Immigrant visa, can I go to the immigration office and request a non immigrant visa so as I can re register the car ?

Any assistance with the above would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. :jap:

You need not show your passport.

Offhand I can't remember if they asked to see my dr lisc or not.

In fact you don't have to go to DLT.

A motorcy taxi guy can do it for you.

If the car is over 5 or 6 years old (forget which) it has to pass inspection first.. Rolling road; brake test; lights; horn , sniff test. Be sure to have your no fault insurance in order.
