1) Sundowners in my top floor room at Siam Sawasdee, anticipating the night ahead.

2) Lek Bar on Soi 7 passing the time with Charlie and Lek, who has some of the best music in Pattaya (and tolerates my Kansas habit) while watching the chaos on the Soi. IMHO one of the best kept secrets in Pattaya. No hassle and good company.

3) TQ2 for a rock fix.

4) Any minimum hassle beer bar which has a view of the passing circus.........

Since I'm working in a war zone, and can only come to Pattaya for visits my opinions might be a little different.

1. In shower with, underneath, on top of, in bed next to Thai GF.

2. Parked in front of hotel mini bar.

3. Sleeping it off next to pool, or on beach.

4. Beer bar prferably with view of Muay Thai, and passing circus that is Pattaya!

I enjoy watching the passing parade, so I find a front row seat somewhere on Walking Street and sink a few beers.

I usually choose either Stony's Bar or Star Bar. (not to be confused with the Lucky Star Bar.) Their seats are quite comfortable and their location is central. The only problem with the Star Bar is that they have lazy bar staff who don't know how to dig down to the bottom of the fridge to get the coldest beer bottles.

Stony's draught beer is always icy.

hmmmmm, I'm getting thirsty just thinking about it.

Tony, I would ask that you explain who you are, or rather what you are trying to acheive with this constant stream of inane drivel, insults and pointless posturing. You are really starting to p1ss people off.

Spot on MM... Stony's is a great venue for excatly that, and the service is good too.

For a bit of Thai rock and entertainment, I enjoy going to the Blue Chilli Pub on 3rd road. Next week I'm going to try out the new one... Bitchy... right next door.

:D

/Edit - I think Tony's been given a holiday... :o
