Honda Accord

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have just purchased an Accord 2 litre without the navigator.

I want to have a GPS in-dash system fitted but I have no idea where to buy one and have it installed. Has anybody already done this? Please help if you can.

The dealership has not been much help, not that I expected they would be.

Thanks for any ideas

Cheers

Jack before you do think about a Tom Tom or Similar. On the rare occasion i use my Wifes Accord that has the Honda one, i find it easier to use my Garmin, that i m used too , and can Prog in seconds. Also should you rent a Car,you allways have one. I dont realy notice a big difference between her old Big Engine, exept i dont fillup every day, enjoy your new ride.:jap:

the newer Nokia (smart)phones all come with free navigation and the map-updates are free as well. So if you are after a new phone anyway, you might consider preferring the mobile instead of a navi. Don't underestimate the price of maps for the stand-alone navigation systems, maps for many countries are free at Nokia/Ovi.

Just go to a local car audio shop normally you will find head unit's which incorporate's GPS, they might have the maps if not they are easy to obtain.

Thanks for your help guys, very kind of you to answer.

I'm really in two minds. On one hand an in-dash system would look better but I'm not sure of the quality of the product available.

It's called Tele System has anyone heard of it?. On the other hand a Garmin or Tom Tom are well known and good.

I don't know what to do now 555555
