I am heading to Phuket in a few weeks and am having some asthma and allergy issues at home. I am wondering is it possible to buy Seretide inhalers, Ventolin inhalers and Claratyne tablets over the counter in Phuket and if yes what price do they sell for. I always worry that my bags will get lost and I will not be able to have a ready supply of medication with me.

Thank you for any advice

Ventolin and clarytine are both readily available without prescription. You'd do better to buy one of the locally made generic equivalent so ask by generic name (salbutamol and loratadine respectively).

Seretide is here but available only through hospital pharmacies so you'd have to see a doctor first , won't be difficult though - just walk in to any hospital or clinic.

Would be a good idea in any case to have a brief medical summary from your doctor with you in case you should need care while here.
