Supernova, have you asked the callcenter/truechat or talked to the technician about this issue yet?

I might do it tomorrow if you haven't found any solutions yet, and I'll keep you updated as well.

^ They informed me of network upgrades in progress and that this month (September) should see things return to normal. Well, things have improved since the beginning of the month, but not quite up to speed yet...

Glad I read this thread. I am confused though (so often with the call centre answers I get in this country) with the comment one of you got about "network upgrades" meaning we were seeing reduction in speeds. I am seeing a very entertaining pattern with my Filesonic/RS/etc downloads. I kind of looks like a heart-beat with the fluctuations in my graph! I have noticed that Filesonic in particular gets some strange problems (server does not accept chunkload....I'm not that fat!), even with proxy switching. I guess we just have to wait for now then :annoyed:

Hopefully "network upgrades in progress" is not just their way of saying "network repairs underway." ;)

Right now I have excellent bandwidth on proxy.trueinternet.co.th through JDownloader for Filesonic. The "invisible" proxy is about 20kb!

Guys, how are yours doing?

Mine is at 140-200kb/sec now. I dont dare parallel download yet.

Before it's always all the way up there to full maximum like a water coming out of the faucet. Full 750kb/sec and if i parallel download it would be 370kb/sec and so on.

But right now with 140kb-200kb/sec it makes me feel like that's the max, and if i parallel download it would be disgusting at 70kb/sec.

Oh well better than the 5-15kb/sec last week for months :D

Well if the upgrades, Im thinking, let's say we have 10 internet boxes that 100 people share. So each 10 people share a box. With an upgrade, they have to take out 5, to install new ones. And we are talking about installation that takes months to complete. So for the timebeing, we 100 people have to share the 5 remaining box, while the other 5 is being "upgraded".

Just a theory, who knows what the truth is. The problem is call centers here and call centers in the west is, WE really try to solve problems and tell the truth to the situation. Instead of masking it and saying "upgrade.

The best is still hotfile, then next comes megaupload, then the others. I use premium, so it's definitely true internet's problem.

Draftvader,

what internet plan are you on? and are you a huge downloader as well?

Maybe we can find something in common and find out the problem.
