Criminal Law Seminar for foreigners at Pattaya City Hall

PATTAYA: -- On Wednesday afternoon at Pattaya City Hall, and for the first time here in Pattaya a panel of presiding judges from the Pattaya Provincial Court took part in a discussion on criminal law and how it relates to foreign nationals. Mr. Drew Noyes, from the PAPPA Law Firm based in Jomtien, hosted the event which was also supported by Pattaya’s Mayor, Khun Itipon. The entire conference was held in English Language and also shown as a live telecast through the thaivisa.com website. Delegates were told that they would be treated fairly in the Thai Court system and had the same rights as Thai nationals. Chonburi’s Chief Judge, Khun Visit, began proceedings by detailing a number of laws which were of interest to the hundreds of foreigners in attendance and many more watching the live telecast on the internet.
