Yeah Etihad are the cheapest i have found in the past, and there not a bad airline either. Last time we flew back from bkk there was only 40 people on the whole flight, mmm 5 seats each :o

Thanks - i'll give them a try - the transits in Abu Dhabi are a bit tortuous though!

I tried the website recommended by Rinrada and phoned them up, however they admitted to me that some of the better fares quoted are out-of-date.

For some reason, probably political, the best prices are never obtained direct from the airline, you must find a good 'bucket shop' who the airline probably sells bulk seats to.

I reckon it will be with a middle east airline though, I went Gulf Air last July to lhr, OK but 4 hrs in Bahrain was a total pain with the knock on tiredness effect, then there was the 5 hour takeoff delay and unscheduled overnight stopover in Abu Dhabi on the way back, was not Gulf Airs fault and they looked after us A1, but would not have happenned on a direct flight, ( the stopover that is)..

I have shopped around and the best deal I came up with was about 33000 Baht including taxes. This for February using QATAR
