hi, would it be easier for my girlfriend to get a visa for the UK if we marry in thailand before she applies, also would it help that we have a baby together.

thanks for any help you can give

I can see you are really, really desperate so perhaps if you post in the other branch of this forum you would get better advise. This is for Thai visa not for visa to other countries.

Nicelee808,

Before this post is moved.....

I have just read your earlier topic concerning your child.

Just a gut feeling that you are being, or allowing yourself to be, manipulated (shared by another poster in that topic).

The casual language of this post (detected by Lop) tends to reinforce my view.

Before posting in the correct forum indicate what visa she will be applying for: tourist or settlement (fiancee?) and give a little info about you and your g/f: how long you have known each other; evidence of contact (other than the child); age; where are you resident (I assume UK as you were not present for the birth); does she intend to take the child; how will you support her in UK. If tourist how can you convince consul she intends to return? Job to return to, property (and believe me leaving a very young child behind would indicate she is off to seek her fortune).

Read UK embassy site first.

With luck "Scouser", who worked for UK immigration, will give you good advice.

My instinct. She will be refused a visa.
