beaufoy Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 An ex Thai Girlfriend has been asked to marry by an english man, but she and we are suspicious. At first he said he had never been to Thailand before and never spoke thai. then he admittted to being married to a thai before, now he says he has been married to three thai ladies. I have not asked if he married them in thailand (he would lie anyway) but I assume he did to get them settlement visas for england where it seems all 3 ladies live happily divorced. Is there any way i can check with government offices how many times this man has been married to Thai ladies. I assume most of the marriages would have taken place in Bangkok, but maybe some in other cities
MikeyIdea Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Not that I can think of. He is not Thai and doesn't have a common id card number or anything. Whatever is in the computers is entered as free text
venturalaw Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I'm curious. What's the point? Your ex-gf already discovered that he lied, so what is her/your motivation? To discover more lies? It makes no sense.
Mario2008 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 A wedding in Thailand is registered in a central database that can be accessed by any amphur, (if the marrriage is not older than a year or 8, they are still feeding all information in he database). So any amphur could do a check, provided his Thai name was in all instances the same and it is legal to obtain the wanted information.
Boo Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 It could be that he has married them in the UK after they went on fiancee visas. That said, 3 ex thai wives, seems to me this girl should think hard about why they are ex-wives.
