True Visions - 29.5 Days = 1 Months

Featured Replies

Left for Europe for a month and decided not to pay our True Visions Gold package, to save a few Baht. Upon return I reactivated it, paid the monthly fee, inlcuding the reconnection fee. That was August 26th at 4pm. Exactly at midnight from September 24th to 25th, the signal got scrambled. Called True visions, and after 20 minutes, I was informed that the month was finished and we were cut. Their logic; August 26th + 30 days = cut the signal first thing on September 25th. So that gave me just a little over 29 days of viewing 'pleasure'. I had expected to pay before 4pm on September 26th. I should have renewed on the 24th apparently already. So now I will have to find a pay service that is open, and am probably charged the reconnection fee again. Thank you True Visions!

Paying on line, automatically if you wish, is a snap, with kasikorn bank account.

Just like immigration thinking 1 month is 29 days......

If you do the math ie divide 365 x 12 you will see on average it is 30.5 day per month.

Yeap, you should have paid no later than the 24th of the month.

The standard billing cycle for TrueVisions runs from the first day of the month to the last day of the month, and the pay no later than date is the 24th of the month. But during the first month you sign up, say on the 26th of the month, the first bill will reflect that 4 or 5 days of the partial month plus the following full month....so your first bill would be for around 35 days with the payment due by the 24th of the full month.

After that, you are on the standard billing cycle from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month with the payment date due no later than the 24th of that month. Miss that date and you may get cutoff immediately....some people do get cut off immediately; some people don't.

Take a look at your bill....on the left hand side of the line that shows the Total Amount due you will see the due no later than date of 24th of the current billing cycle.

Hi Pib,

Thank you for the explanation. I was not aware of that. We always receive the invoice about 1 or 2 weeks after paydate, so did not know what date to pay. Complained with True Visons about that before, but they sent us to the postoffice. Other mail (except CAT) does come on time though. I tried to sign up for their online services, but our subscriber number and card number is not found in relation to our billing address :-), so didn't work either. But still strange logic by True Visions. If you pay for a month, you should expect to have reception for a month, and not be cut off after 29 days. Anyway, paid today (including reconnection fee!!!) so I could at least watch F1 race. I will have a look at certain 'alternatives'.

I can associate with not getting True monthly bills. When I first got to Thailand I signed up for TrueMove cell service at the same time I signed up for TrueVisions...one of those combo deals. Exact same address used for the TrueVisions account and the TrueMove account. Anyway, after I got the first bill from TrueMove I never got anymore, but the TrueVisions bills (and all my other utility bills) had no problem finding the mailbox hung on the gate of my residence. And that one bill I got from TrueMove had the correct address....same address as the TrueVisions account and all my other utility bills.

Had to go to a True Service Center every month to find out what the TrueMove bill was and to pay it....confirmed several times they had the correct adderess....they also gave me the recommendation of checking with the post office....I canceled the TrueMove service after about 6 months of helping TrueMove try to figure out what the billing problem was. During that process I ended up feeling like True made every effort to make me feel like the bill arrival problem was only my problem and not their problem. Now I have no TrueMove problem as I canceled the service. Been with DTAC ever since and their bills find my mailbox no problem.
