Firstly, you need to swear an affirmation of freedom to marry at the Australian embassy. At this stage you will need to show your passport and any divorce/death certificate relating to a previous marriage. You then have to translate the sworn affirmation and have it authenticated at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Laksi. You can then marry at any amphur. The whole process takes 2-3 days.

Thanks scouse for your info,

I got in contact with Thai Embassy here in Brissy this morning and they said for me to bring a statutory declaration stating i have never been married and not father any children and my passport, I asked do i need to write a letter stating i want to marry my g/f She said no just passport and Stat dec, Take it to Aus Embassy and have it seen to by some official , I will go and do what u suggested first and take my documents with me,...

Thanks scouser and let u know how i went when i come back end of the month.

When you do that a paper will have to be filled out and signed under oath and that paper translated into Thai and registered with the MS. After you have the returned registered copy you can take to a District Office to register your marriage. Scouser outlined the procedure. If you are pressed for time there are translation services that can help, for a higher fee, to do the entire process in a day or so.
