My wife and I are going to KH on Chaweng in dec (8-16) and would very much like some help from a local or someone who's been.

We're not overly picky, but would like a pool and nice beach swimming. Clean is of course important, and a beachfront bungalow would be really nice if possible.

The number of options has us very confused at this point!!

We're looking in the 3000-4000 range if this is reasonable.

Chaweng Buri Resort might fit your bill of requirements. It is my preferred place to stay in Chaweng.

A beachside bungalow wil run you 4400 per night during your time frame. The exact same bungalow in the garden is 3400.

Thanks alot, that helps alot! What would I have to book to get the beachfront? Think its worth it for the upgrade, thats 8000 for the 8 nights i'm there. I would like to be on the beach, not everyday I get over to Thailand.

This place is very nice indeed, i booked 3 nights there last Dcember just to see if it was any good.....i stayed for 18 nights. place is new, everything spotless. 3 minute walk to green mango. beach was gorgeous, staff were out of this world and the restaraunt they have right on the beach was a delight. would definatley go back!!!
