Depends if it is a one year Non imm "B" If it is, then you must leave every 90 days until you apply for an extension of stay.

If it’s a 90 day Non imm "B" then you either must apply for an extension of stay or leave the country after 90 days. Your visa is then finish after 90 days.

Once you apply for the extension of stay with a reentry permit. You must report every 90 days to Immigration or have left Thailand once every 90 days since your last entry/reporting in.

You have to report address to immigration every 90 days when here on an extension of stay. But that need not be done in person and can even be done by mail.

You never "report to immigration" in place of making a visa run. Only an extension of stay will eliminate that process.
