Can anyone help with the legality of having my medicine shipped in from a US pharmacy (online). I have an RX from my Dr. Though they are not available in Thailand, will customs allow me to have them sent in?

Thank you!

Bystolic (nebivolol) is available in Thailand under brand name Nevilet and sold OTC. As long as the bottle is clealry labelleded and the quantity consistent woth 30 days personal use should be no problem. But it will probably cost less to just buy it here unless you are getting it free from back home.

Adderall is a whole other matter. it is not legal in Thailand, period. Thjs and related prescription stimulants were banned in the recent past. You may well have problems.

I am not clear on the exact legal implications of a foreigner under medical treatment having a drug presectibed to them by their doctor back home but not legal here. Not sure you want to risk finding out, either...

Methylphenadrate (Ritalin and other brand names, including some locally made generics) and Strattera are the ADD drugs approved for use here.

Okay.. That stinks.. :( Any idea where I can find this info online? I've tried doing searches but only get weird, shady people trying to sell it online without a RX. lol

Thanks in advance

Here I am again looking for your help lol. I really owe you a drink or a cake (I can cook).

I went to a few pharmacies wat sun and a few small mom and pop ones. They don't have it and of course don't know how to get it. Any suggestions on where I can find this? Thanks

Mom and Pop places will definitely not have it, you need a large pharmacy. If you are in Bangkok places to try are:

Fascinos (Thonburi side of the river near Siriraj) and there is also 1-2 other large places right next to it

Sukhumvit Soi 2 area on that side of the street there is a large pharmacy

On Rajawithi near Victory Monument opposite the big hospital there are a bunch iof pharmacies

If you are in Pattaya, then try the Fascinio's there

If you are anywhere else, etell us the place

All else fails, contact the distributor who should be able to tell yoiu locations near to you that they have supplied it to:

Biopharm Chemicals Co Ltd

7 Fl, Bio House

55 Sukhumvit 39 Bangkok 10110

Tel: 0 2259 0990-7, 0 2260 0710-25

Fax: 0 2259 0998

I have Tricor, and Lipitor sent from the US and use regular US Priority Mail and have never had a problem with Thai Customs for medicine. But as others will advise, stay away from UPS, DHL or FEDEX since they are a Customs magnet

Oh sorry Sheryl. I am I'm Bangkok near thong Lo BTS. Sukhumvit soi 36. I will try those pharmacies. My sons mother can get me free samples as she works at a cardio office.

Thanks I will have her send more too unless I find the Thai version is really cheap.

Would it matter if I had meds sent to isaan or to BANGKOK for duty taxes? Thanks

Contacted biopharm directly. 700 baht for 28. What a deal!!! They happen to be very close too. You were right Sheryl they said the pharmacies near victory monument would carry it. Thank you so much.
