Hi All

I would like to know if there is a government department that looks after the welfare of children in Thailand? If so could someone please point me in the right direction?

The Thai name is: สถานพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชนจังหวัด******** (**** = province)

English translation comes to - Observation and Protection Center of <province>. They all seem to reside at the same address as the juvenile courts in the provinces, I think they are attached to the courts. They mainly work with child criminality but it should be very possible to contact them for physically abused children. Custody problems are not going to be high on their agenda
