what would be the thai slang for saying there is 'chemistry' between two people, or between a teacher and a child, or animal handler and the animal.... the word 'chemistry' in thai did not convey this meaning.... chemistry as in 'click' together...

that man is really nice, i enjoy speaking with him, but we just dont have 'chemistry' between us (we just dont click)...

or

we have good chemistry between us, therefore it is enjoyable to work with you...

here (in israel) having 'chemistry' between people at work, etc is very important, not just the 'chemistry' that there can be between lovers.

sometime in TH we just translate the word from english and use it

example I catch a train

"Chemistry"... hmm.. a few suggestions:

ปิ๊ง (bping)

- romantic sense : "fall in love at first sight" or "have a crush on"

eg. ไปปิ๊งหนุ่มที่ร้านกาแฟ (bpai bping noom tee raan gahfae)

fell in love/had a crush on the guy at the coffee shop

- or when you just like something sooo much!

eg. ปิ๊งเสื้อตัวนั้น (bping suea dtua naan)

fell in love with that shirt!

- would not recommend using it in a teacher-student situation -

เข้ากันได้ดี (khao gan dai dee) = get along well together

eg. สองคนนั้นเข้ากันได้ดีนะ รู้สึกว่าจะชอบอะไรเหมือนๆกันหลายอย่าง

Those two get along really well together, they seem to have a lot of things in common.

รู้ใจ (roo jai) = literally "know heart", this refers to when somebody knows exactly what the other is thinking/wants, intuitively

eg. ซื้อกาแฟมาให้เหรอ รู้ใจจริงๆ = You bought coffee for me? Wow, you really knew what I needed! (A girl after my own heart!)
