Wondering if anyone has seen the remote GPRS video cameras for sale in Thailand. Automatically sends an image based on set interval or on external triggers.

These things look great for monitoring a construction site or for home security. While you are out for dinner you can pick up your phone and see who is breaking in!

I think these actually send an MMS, based on my recollection on a previous thread on this type of surveillance camera. So then you need to make sure you have enough pre-paid balance to support the MMSes. There may be some plans/promotions that allow for xx MMSes per month. And you can manage/top-up the SIM in the camera via ATM.

The other challenge is inter-operator MMS delivery which seems to be spotty at best.

It would be cool if you could use WhatsApp.
