I am looking for small house to rent any where between The village of Songkon and Mukdahan

Maybe north of friendship bridge 11. I am looking to rent for about 3 months, January to March

I will consider anything in that area. Also willing to rent car too.

Any suggestions would be appreciated Pat :jap:

You would need to be nearly as old as I am to understand the joke so let me explain.

Some 30 years ago, Johnny Carson had The Tonight Show, a late night talk show on American television. One night he had on, as his guests, Dean Martin, Bob Hope and George Gobel. As things could do with this bunch, the show got out of hand with everybody joining in the hilarity except George Gobel. He tried to join in but was generally ignored by everybody else.

Finally he came out with the statement I posted earlier and it just seemed appropriate for the moment with your request not being answered.

I tried to find it on YouTube but it has been deleted from there due to copyright infringement. If you can find it, you will have a good laugh.

Have you considered contacting a house/real estate agent in the area?

Is there such a thing .

Thought you had to contact the friend of a friends aunts brothers mums grandfathers sisters sons father and ask if they new someone about a house rent and then you are given info to contact the lady on the corners mums dads sisters sons girlfriends dad, but remember all must receive a handout from any transaction.

Pat,

Speaking Thai helps a lot up there...

I'd book into a hotel, see if they do a monthly rate. Motorcycle taxis are a great source for finding rentals if you can communicate with them have them scout somewhere out. Can't your g/f help find you somewhere? Is it essential that you be there?

Anyone living in or around Mukdahan any ideas regards renting ? Pat :jap:

Nobody interested????

Many read this site so think you are unlucky. Trying to get a place for a chum in Ubon but no luck.

Yes G/F will be with me she has done some research by asking some friends, But nothing so far.

Only reason I am going there is, we have land I want clear and I hope to sell, otherwise I would heading for Pattaya

I dont think village life is for me or my G/F (bought land in the heat of the moment I regret now) but thats another story

Thanks for your comments

I doubt very much you would ever find a house to rent for only three months unless it was a real dive. Find a decent apartment in town that rents per month would be my suggestion.

Agreed, thanks to Hedonist for the clip. I couldn't find it but still laughed again. Sorry about the misquote...I said brown 'suede' shoes and George said brown shoes.

Happy New Year to all as well.

I live in Mukdahan and it is very difficult to find a house to rent except by word of mouth. to get an idea of what is on offer as there is no real estate agent in Muk take a look at the Mukdahan News site, there are a few properties shown here, 1 old two storey house 10k;s from town and a couple of apartments in the city. There are a few good apartment buildings in town such as The Best Residence where you can book by the day or month, this is your best option or at one of the hotels on a monthly rate, If you want good tucker go to Mukdahan Manor, you can check the site also. Good Luck.
