Prescription Meds In Thailand

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if you can get relatively new drugs in Thailand?

My wife takes FOSAMAX PLUS D for Osteoporosis.

It a Merck & Co, drug that was recently approved this year in the US.

It's rather expensive so we thought we might see if we can purchase it in Thailand while we are there.

Where does one find a list of prescription drugs sold in Thailand?

You could email one of the major hospitals and ask. I know that Actonel 35mg weekly pills are available at a cost of 7,014.60 per dozen at Vejthani Hospital.

The drug stores in Thailand have a book that lists all the meds sold in Thailand. In English. However, you must know the generic name of the actual drug, not just the brand name. For example, digoxin instead of Lanoxin, acetaminophen instead of Tylenol. If I wasn't just unpacking from moving I'd look Fosamax D up for you. Fosamax itself is not new; is this that new monthly dosage form?

alendronate and cholecalciferol

Is bendroflumethiazide available in Thailand pls?
