"The store demonstrates our continued commitment to providing more for our customers, innovating for them, as well investing in the Thai economy, with Extra Khon Kaen Ban Sila being one of a number of stores that Tesco Lotus is opening over forthcoming weeks," said Tesco Lotus Property Director Sompong Rungnirattisai.

On the grand opening day, 100 scholarships worth Bt100,000 baht were presented to local school children in Sila Municipality. The store also has a collection box for customers with proceeds going to the Buddhamondhol Esan Construction Fund.

Heading out of town towards Udon Thani on the main Mittraparp Highway. It's just past Khon Kaen University on the left.

In Kut Chap about 20km from udon they have recently opened a Tesco Lotus on the small scale like a Express you see in the UK doing a great trade but some of the locals not to happy with it (But no KFC)

I just wish they would open a Tesco Express at hour place...

dont mind local stores as long as they dont start to carry the things i need, or offer same for more.

free market, so, i could have my choice too :)
