Sukhumvit 30/1

Featured Replies

Can anyone give advice on what Sukhumvit 30/1 is like as an area in which to live? We have an opportunity to rent a condo here, but I havent been this far down Sukhumvit Road before (I'm currently in the UK). I understand its between Phrom Pong and Thong Lor BTS stations - any idea on how far a walk to Phrom Pong (Sukhumvit 24)?

Thanks,

AJW

Difficult to say without more info, it could be on the Rama IV end of Soi 30, which would be pretty far from Sukhumvit Rd.

However, do not, repeat not!!!! rent a condo here without inspecting it first.

You are probably referring to Waterford Diamond Tower condo which is one of the few condos on 30/1. It is a 10 minute walk from either Phrom Pong or Thong Lor. The Emporium dept store is on Soi 24.

PM me if you want further details as I used to live there.

Excellent advice.

Book yourself into a hotel for a couple of weeks and do your apartment hunting when you get here.
