Accidentally discovered a place called Doi Bo out past Mae Yao. Horrible road getting up the last 3 km or so but the view was great and would be a great camping location. Made it OK on my little CBR but my passenger was big nervous. There was a group from Singapore camping out there. How they discovered it I have no idea. There is a lodge/house at the very top you can rent for 1000 bt or bargain for less I think. No real beds but clean and indoors. Indoor camping style. Looks like there may be a truck/taxi that will take you up as well. You make a left turn at the hill tribe village going to the Huai Mae Sai? waterfall.

It is interesting to see what people respond to and what they ignore. Looks like it would have been much prettier a month or two ago. Our winter haze is clearly visible. Good to see you out exploring.

Its not quite the very top, there is a track which leads off to the left at the entrance to the lodge, this will take you up much higher. Beware as it is not for passengers of a nervous disposition, as the gradient in sections can be quite tricky !!
