Water Filters For Shower?

Recommended Posts

hi all,

i've been reading the posts and quite enjoying this forum. there was a gentleman who talked in a separate thread about dry skin on the hands and elbows. i've noticed that whenever i have left the States (ie America) and gone travelling to other countries in Asia, the chlorine content of the tap water is very high. You can smell the chlorine when you run the tap. In the States, shower chlorine filters are widely available (any Bed Bath and Beyond will have them), and they have helped my eczema immensely.

However, I've had a very hard time locating them over here. In fact, I had to bring one from the US when I went back to visit recently. There are many filters for tap water here in LOS, but the shower ones don't seem to exist....

Does anybody know where to find a chlorine shower filter in Thailand? I live in Phuket and suspect they may exist in Bangkok, but haven't had a chance to hunt up there yet.

Cheers,

I suspect any activated charcoal filter could be used and they are available at any Lotus/building store/water filter supply etc. But I have found the use of a storage tank removes all chlorine smell of water here in Bangkok. If you do not have a tank/pump system perhaps that would be a good investment? If you in a condo however suspect it will have to be the filter method.
