impulse Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I checked via search and there seem to be no recent answers. Does anyone in Thailand do custom prescription dive masks, either in country or through a send-out service? Like many others, off the shelf masks and corrective lenses don't work because of astigmatism- mine need to be custom ground. I'd love to do a little diving while I'm working in Thailand, but it's no fun if I can't see past my nose. Thanks in advance for answers, positive or negative.
gamini Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 A friend of mine simply had the prescription lenses glued onto to the inside of his face mask. .I think special glue is need and I am sure any optremest can do it . I worked perfectly
stretch5163 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Most of the Dive Shops will be able to order Perscription lenses for masks. There are a couple of makes that you can get them for. Saeko Dive and Mares being the two that i know. Saeko dive runner mask is the main one (i know) and can be fitted with posotive and negative lenses. Price is also more expensive for the posotive lenses. I know they definetly available in phuket. Hope this is of some help.
