westybrook Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Does anyone know a good place to look for cheap long term accom in Pattaya Thanks!
westybrook Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 Ben thanks for your great answer to my question, what is the internet?
solo siam Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 lol, why not search google or these forums first. EDIT - There you go, 30 seconds on google http://www.pattayatrader.com/accommodation_condo.htm#rent
johnnyk Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 www.pattayatalk.com www.bkktonite.com if you are there look around soi buakhow area high season now, many long stayers in town so price/selection iffy.
jrincon17 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Thanks guys! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> dont stay at the day/night hotel! you might slip and fall off the balcony or get raped . that might be anywhere in pattaya

COBBER Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Nearly all hotels and guesthouse have a monthly rate and this is usually 60-70% of the daily rate x 30. Perhaps you could check into one for a day or 2 and if you like it take the monthly rate. If you want a super cheap room ( where the locals stay) as suggested Soi Buahkow and the sois running off it would be a good starting point. You just have to walk around and look for the signs on the doors in thai script. Perhaps if you give us some idea of your budget and if you need to be close to the bars we could give some more specific suggestions.
OlRedEyes Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 The internet, I think, is probably the worst place to look for cheap accomodation. Heavily inflated prices.
Pattaya_Fox Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Day/Night Hotel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They only seem to be doing short stays recently
westybrook Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Thanks COBBER. I need the property to be around Rungland, as I am doing a teaching course there. If I have to travel to get there I can. But the cheaper the better. It will be for Feb 10th when I touch down in LOS. So any help guys would be great, truly!

eyebee Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I need the property to be around RunglandSo any help guys would be great, truly! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would suggest that you book into any hotel for a couple of nights, then ask the guys at the OK Corral (good bar/restaurant in soi Rungland) for their recommendations. The OK Corral may have rooms itself, not sure.
naka Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Soi Buokow area would be your best bet, lots of small inexpensive hotels and close to soi Rungland. Just find a place for a couple of nights and then pound the pavements.

naka Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Day/Night Hotel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And remember to dress nicely ... long leather pants, waistcoat and leather hat. Naka.

Look for hand written signs on the doors or the shop houses or further down Soi Rungland you will find more thai style innexpensive accomadation.
