Nearly all hotels and guesthouse have a monthly rate and this is usually 60-70% of the daily rate x 30. Perhaps you could check into one for a day or 2 and if you like it take the monthly rate.

If you want a super cheap room ( where the locals stay) as suggested Soi Buahkow and the sois running off it would be a good starting point. You just have to walk around and look for the signs on the doors in thai script.

Perhaps if you give us some idea of your budget and if you need to be close to the bars we could give some more specific suggestions.

Thanks COBBER. I need the property to be around Rungland, as I am doing a teaching course there. If I have to travel to get there I can. But the cheaper the better. It will be for Feb 10th when I touch down in LOS.

So any help guys would be great, truly!

I would suggest that you book into any hotel for a couple of nights, then ask the guys at the OK Corral (good bar/restaurant in soi Rungland) for their recommendations. The OK Corral may have rooms itself, not sure.

Soi Buokow area would be your best bet, lots of small inexpensive

hotels and close to soi Rungland. Just find a place for a couple of nights

and then pound the pavements. :o

The internet, I think, is probably the worst place to look for cheap accomodation. Heavily inflated prices.

where do you think this text is at the moment, perhaps someone will Pm him and offer him their place for peanuts.

More likely someone will PM him and offer him their place for an arm and a leg :o

The OK Corral has rooms. This would be a good starting point. Look for hand written signs on the doors or the shop houses or further down Soi Rungland you will find more thai style innexpensive accomadation.
