Where In Korat

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a reputable motor dealer in Korat or surrounding area for the purchase of a secondhand car, not botherd about make or model as long as the dealer is legit. Thanks.

I was looking a while ago and concluded Arthur Daley DOES live in Thailand.

Car salesmen the world over seem to be a common breed.

I found salesmen to be as unreliable as their motors.

Thais generally like to buy new cars (prestige). But once they've spent all that money on a new motor, can't understand why they need to spend more money on 'maintenance'. Hence the black haze up and down Route 2.

Second hand cars over here are usually replaced for a reason, and dealers will patch them up as cheaply as possible before off-loading them.

I have had previous bad experience of this and ended up splashing out on a brand new Toyota Vigo. At least I know where this car has been.

If you want a cheap set of wheels go to the auction held in Korat every 3 months. The cars are mostly ex-lease.

Union Auctions not far from Route 2
